Caldwell Crafted and Curated cigars could be anything. Robert Caldwell is known to be a globetrotting son of a gun, and you never know what he will come across. His mind is as open as it gets, and if he finds some good tobacco, he will find a use for it in one way or another. The Lost and Found series was typically about exclusive blends found whole and waiting for the right moment to be shared with the market.
Caldwell Crafted and Curated are a bit different.
Here, you can get cigars that reveal more of the personal taste of the company founder. This is where you’ll find leading blends that have been adjusted (like Long Live the King 11/07) and entirely new smokes (like Antoinette). Not every blend that cigar men create is suitable for mass production or the palates of the broad public. So sometimes, they make private blends to enjoy and share with friends. Occasionally, one of these will hit a sweet spot and be appropriate for a broader release, but not always. To retain the freedom to experiment, you might get cigar lines like Caldwell Crafted and Curated.
These aren’t guaranteed to suit anyone but the creator. But the thing is, you get some of the purest, most honest blends that way. And also the most interesting ones!
