In 2019, Ernesto Padilla decided it was time to open his own factory. Located in Estelí, Nicaragua, Tabacalera Padilla grants Ernesto more control over the creation of new blends. Padilla said that while everyone loves to talk up the large size of their factory, he will speak about how small his factory will remain to produce greater quality than quantity.
The first line out of Tabacalera Padilla was the Padilla Single Batch Barrel Proof cigars. They are limited edition small batch stogies sourced from tobacco too quality to pass up but too limited to produce a large volume of cigars, hence the “Single Batch.” Well-aged Ligero long-fillers and a binder from the Aganorsa farms in Nicaragua’s Jalapa region are found on the inside. Outside sits a toothy Mexican San Andrés wrapper.
