Last night I smoked this cigar to the nub…
….and it got better...and Better...and BETTER as it went.
Which was awesome on a couple of different levels: (1) I love a good smoke (2) It made my pick for Cigar of the Week super easy : )
Juan’s Cigar of the Week is the My Father Cigars Limited Edition Collection Le Bijou 1922 Toro 2016!
The Le Bijou 1922 Toro 2016 is:
- 6.5 X 52
- packed in individual 'coffins’
- inside a 14 count box.
And…production is limited to 4,000 total. That's it! No exceptions :~
This smoke features an Ecuadorian habano oscuro wrapper, filled with Nicaraguan fillers including Pelo de Oro (a tobacco notoriously difficult to grow yet renowned for its bold, sweet flavor).
This was about a 45-minute smoke on a warm, breezy August night (with an actual tolerable humidity level for Tampa!). I wasn’t expecting it to burn that long (given its size).
The Le Bijou 1922 Toro 2016 is expertly constructed with a masterful balance. Even with its “long-ish” run time it's a real treat.
The flavor palate serves up a rich mix of dark cherries and a hint of molasses with some wood on the finish. My favorite part? There’s a “kick” of pepper that weaves throughout. PLUS...a gentle cedar cocoa flavor builds towards the last third of the smoke.
If you enjoy full-bodied, spicy (DELICIOUS!) cigars, then this smoke is a MUST for you to try...
