Why wait for big milestones when you can simply celebrate every year of life and success?

The Room 101 12th Anniversary Toro cigar is part of an annual limited edition blend series that the company makes to commemorate its continued survival and thriving on another trip around the Sun. It’s now been more than a decade since Matt Booth first launched his company and he’s built a fantastic reputation for great smoke. Farce, Namakubi, Daruma, OSOK… it’s a nice little list he’s got going, and he’s almost always part of something creative and visually striking.

As for the Room 101 12th Anniversary Toro cigar itself, it’s a Nicaraguan puro made with tobacco from A.J. Fernandez farms. As a master blender and grower to the stars, A.J. is one of the most sought-after partners in Nicaragua, if not the entire cigar world. His quality stock fills the stogie and also provides the earthy Maduro wrapper that makes this such a handsome smoke.

The flavor profile is quite earthy, with notes of leather, mesquite, and cocoa. There’s a good bitterness and a welcome spice that make Room 101’s 12 Anniversary blend complex and worth savoring as you go from one draw to the next. Sweetness and nuttiness round things out, and should give you plenty to search for as you put your palate to the test against A.J.’s fine Nica leaf. If you’ve still got the 11th Anniversary in storage in your humidor, maybe do a comparison. A year of aging or more might have turned it into the superior smoke, but only those willing to do the hard, hard work of smoking these delicious cigars will know for sure.

This Room 101 12th Anniversary Toro cigar is made in Nicaragua. Outside, you'll find a Maduro wrapper. Inside, the binder is a Proprietary Blend, and the filler is a Proprietary Blend. This is a Toro cigar with a length of 6.00 and a ring gauge of 52.
