This Drew Estate Undercrown Maduro Flying Pig cigar is made in Nicaragua. Outside, you'll find a Otapan Negro Ultimo Corte wrapper. Inside, the binder is T52 Connecticut River Valley Stalk Cut Cured Habano, and the filler is Nicaraguan. The Drew Estate Undercrown Maduro Flying Pig is a Medium-Full bodied Perfecto shaped cigar with a length of 3.93 and a ring gauge of 60.

The Drew Estate Undercrown Maduro Flying Pig offers a bit more black pepper and earth, getting even closer to the Liga No. 9 experience. That's because the Undercrown Maduro flying pig allows spicy Nicaraguan long-fillers to play a greater role than in other versions of the blend. If the other Drew Estate flying pig blends are pork ribs, this one's a tasty little chorizo.

    Superb Cigar

This is my favorite cigar. I try to stock up on them when I can. It has a great earthy woody smell and flavor. I definitely look forward to my next one.

    Stellar Smoke

The ash this cigar generates is so beautiful, it’s worth the price of entry just for the show. It’s like the rings of a petrified oak tree as it burns. The flavor on this is total luxury, velvet smooth with caramel and cognac tones bouncing everywhere. Its short size and seductive depth of flavor give this cigar the presence of a tiny jewel, a little slice of heaven, something small and fine with lots of aesthetic detail which invites contemplation. You won’t want to rush it, this is to be savored. I recommend about 45 minutes with this thick boy. Incidentally, the timeframe makes it a solid cold weather cigar, or a perfect cigar to accompany you anytime of year on a 1 hour walk or diversion of another kind. For many modern people, that’s just about right for a moment of indulgence.

On a completely unobjective personal note, as a cigar lover with a limited tolerance for nicotine, I can’t get enough of the shape of these short and stout “flying pigs”. The wide ring gauge gives birth to huge blooms of thick smoke, making every draw deeply fulfilling, while the short length gives the chance to experience the maturation of flavors in the cigar without getting overloaded.
