Rocky Patel Vintage Sampler Description
Here is a tasty collection of three of the most popular smokes in the Rocky Patel Vintage line. Each of these sticks ages for either 7, 10, or 12 years. Now that you know we’re dealing with something special here, let’s take a quick look under the hood.
This quality Rocky Patel Vintage Sampler contains one each of the 1992 and 1999 Vintage and two of the 1990 Vintage.
Rocky Patel 1990 Vintage
Cigar Aficionado awarded the 1990 Vintage an impressive 92 rating. Let's do a little digging and see what makes this blend so special. At the cigar's heart is a fine mix of Nicaraguan and Dominican Ligero fillers that aged for eight years. Draped over everything is a 12-year-old Honduran Maduro wrapper. Over these 12 years, the leaf loses some strength while increasing in complexity. The final result is a medium-bodied cigar that tilts a bit to the mild side. This is a smooth, well-balanced smoke with flavors of caramel, espresso, earth, and cedar.
The 1990 Vintage is perfect for an early morning walk around the neighborhood. Since the Rocky Patel Vintage Robusto Sampler contains two, grab a friend and catch up over this award-winning stogie from a decade famed for distorted guitars and flannel.
Rocky Patel 1992 Vintage
Following in the footsteps of its older sibling, the 1992 Vintage received a rating of 92. Once again, Rocky does not disappoint with his laborious, painstaking process to create the perfect blend. At times this entails working through hundreds of combinations before creating perfection.
Rocky’s 1992 Vintage is made solely from Ligero tobacco—the plant’s dense and full top leaves. These age for 10 years, and like the 1990 Vintage, this causes them to increase in complexity and lose some strength. The result is a medium-bodied cigar, both complex and smooth, with flavors of espresso, spice, nuts, and wood. The finish is earthy and creamy. The 1992 Vintage is the favorite of many and one of Rocky’s bestsellers, which is why it’s included in the Rocky Patel Vintage Sampler. Don’t miss it!
Rocky Patel 1999 Vintage
The 91-rated Rocky Patel 1999 Vintage is draped in one of the oldest Connecticut shade wrappers available. True to the line, the 1999 Vintage is a mild cigar loaded with complexity and character. The Connecticut wrapper is aged for seven years before it partners with Rocky’s expert blend of Dominican and Nicaraguan long-leaf Ligeros that aged for eight years themselves. In the end, you have a creamy smoke with flavors of earth and toasted wood and the slightest hints of spice, mainly toward the end of the stick. This is an excellent cigar to pair with your morning coffee as you take in the calmness of a new day.
The Vintage line is the recipient of some of the highest ratings known to the industry. The Rocky Patel Vintage Sampler gives you the chance to discover why at a reasonable price.

Cigars were fresh and very smooth yet bold taste, thank you!
They burned well which generally the weakest point I find in sampler packs. Was it worth the money? For me not really. I know what I want and prefer to just buy that.
