Cigar smokers have come to expect the unexpected from the CAO family of cigars. Innovative to the point of being iconoclastic, CAO’s visionary offerings nearly always receive enthusiastic reception from the brand’s adventurous fans.
However, when CAO aficionados first encountered the Flavours line, they were skeptical. “Flavored cigars; they probably taste like perfume. I’ll give one a try because it’s a CAO, but that’s the only reason.” Smoker skepticism was transformed into delighted amazement in the early stages of the release of the CAO Flavors line. CAO had triumphed again.
CAO begins with a base of high-quality Honduran, Nicaraguan, and Dominican long-fillers and infuses them with natural flavorings. Wrappers of diverse origins complement these exotic and tasty fillers. Of course, the cigars are hand rolled, a hallmark of CAO Cigars. What results is a unique smoking experience. The Earth Nectar’s Cuban-seeded Dominican filler is imbued with the flavors of almonds, high-quality Chianti, coca, honey, and raisins. This tasty blend is then wrapped in a Cameroon leaf. Eileen’s Dream incorporates the luscious flavors of coconut milk, Irish whiskey, frothy cream, hazelnut, white chocolate, cocoa, and vanilla bean into Dominican filler. This unctuous and rich filler is then encased in a top-grade Cameroon wrapper.
Bella Vanilla has Cuban-seeded filler kissed with the taste of exquisitely fragrant Madagascar vanilla beans at its heart, enfolded in the embrace of a tasty Cameroon wrapper. Moontrance uses a bourbon vanilla extract known for its caramel undertones, Hawaiian white honey, Georgia peach nectar, and other fruit extracts to deliver a soothing, relaxing blend. Kamasutra Splash is filled with tasty Cuban-seeded Dominican complemented by Hawaiian mango nectar, mint chocolate-chip ice-cream extract and then rolled in a mild Cameroon wrapper.
Finally, the Gold Honey derives its flavorful nature from Florida’s orange-grove honey and mild Dominican tobaccos. The result is delectably mild and faintly citrusy. The CAO Flavours line is something a little different for those times when you don’t need stimulation.
