West Tampa Tobacco Co. Launches Limited Edition "Dark Time" Cigar
West Tampa Tobacco Co. is putting a spotlight on the value of time with its latest release, Dark Time. This new cigar, first unveiled at the PCA trade show in April, has just begun shipping to retailers.
“Time is our most precious resource, and what better way to spend that time than sharing our finest cigar with family and friends?” remarked Gus Martinez, co-owner of West Tampa Tobacco Co.
The Dark Time is offered in a single Toro size, measuring 6 inches by a 54 ring gauge. It features a 2019 Connecticut broadleaf wrapper, an Ecuadorian Sumatra-seed binder, and a filler blend of Dominican and Nicaraguan tobaccos. According to the company, these cigars were rolled in 2021, allowing for extended aging to enhance the broadleaf wrapper's inherent sweetness.
Intended as a medium-bodied blend, Dark Time comes in elegant black, piano-finish boxes of 10.
Each box also includes a unique touch: a cigar cutter inspired by the design of a Rolex Daytona.
Dark Time is produced in Nicaragua at the NACSA factory. West Tampa Tobacco Co. has stated that this is a one-time release, with production limited to just 2,500 boxes.
