Tatuaje Miami Reserva J21 is a Nicaraguan covered in a Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper with a few visible veins.
Wood mixed with some notes of toasted bread, earth, nuts, cream, a candy-like sweetness, only a hint of spice, almost no pepper during the first third. That changes during the second. Pepper kicks in – not much but it’s there now, the wood is now like burnt firewood and some floral and herbal notes emerge.
The draw was fine, adequate smoke output, fairly even burn line, light grey ash held tight and no wrapper issues.
This is a good example of Tatuaje Miami. I personally prefer the Cojonu Sumatra, but you rarely go wrong with Tatuaje.
This is my favorite Tatuaje smoke. Full flavor with spices and a hint of chocolate. A great Robusto. Highly recommended.
