Sar-sap-a-rilla!
If you ignore the “r,” and you delete an extra “a…” you’ll have the formula for pronouncing this ridiculous word.
Sensei's Sensational Sarsaparilla cigars are a product of the tobacco-obsessed minds over at Cigar Dojo, one of the rootin'-est, tootin-est, finest cee-gar reviewin'-est websites on planet Earth! For over a decade, the martial artists over at the Dojo have chopped their way through hundreds of cigars and are now certified masters of the technique of dropping a smoke bomb and disappearing into the cloud.
Now they’re honing another essential tobacco technique: blending.
Sensei's Sensational Sarsaparilla cigars aren’t their first foray into the world of cigar creation. They were a 2014 release put out back when the Dojo dudes were still getting their gis on when it came to cigar making. They did a fine job, collaborating with Espinosa cigars (who have made quite a few highly-rated smokes) to produce a blend that rapidly sold out.
This time around, the blend is back and better than ever because NOTHING has changed! Yes, this is “identical to the 2014 version” because “why fix something that isn’t broken?”
Clearly, the Dojo masters are wise.
The flavor profile was famously like sarsaparilla root beer. The blend is sweet, and aromatic, and offers notes that are creamy and touch on treats like licorice. There’s also a bit of bite from the black pepper, likely a result of the Mexican San Andrés wrapper. The rest we can attribute to the Nicaraguan long-filler blend. A lovely little cigar to cure what ails ya, pardner.
This Sensei's Sensational Sarsaparilla Belicoso is made in Nicaragua. Outside, you'll find a Mexican San Andres wrapper. Inside, the binder is Nicaraguan, and the filler is Nicaraguan. This is a Belicoso cigar with a length of 5.50 and a ring gauge of 52.
