Romeo y Julieta Reserva Real Nicaragua Churchill

So I am poor at detecting specific flavors (pepper, caramel, baking spices, citrus, pigs feet, etc) and instead have more of a gestalt approach to reviewing. This Churchill is an enjoyable and satisfying smoke. The construction is solid and consistent from cigar to cigar. The strength is a bold medium, and smooth throughout the thirds, and avoids turning harsh or bitter towards the end. The R&Y brand is legendary, and its Dominican variant (like this stick) is now owned by the same conglomerate that is part owner of Habanos SA, the Cuban State-owned company that controls all the Cuban brands and their manufacture. Unknown, what collaborations exist, and for me, I actually prefer that non-Cuban brands eschew traditional ownership and rebrand. Regardless, this is a fine smoke and I give it 4.5 stars for smoothness and consistency. The rolling process in La Romana has been going on for 60 years, and there are Artistes at work here.
