For Spice Lovers
I like spicy cigars so the Partagas Naturales is quickly becoming a favorite. The spice isn’t extremely hot, just mouthwatering and zesty. Other notes are oak and leather. It’s a very Cuban taste and reminds me of a Cohiba Red Dot cigar. Each stick has great tailoring and smoking characteristics for added points.
Worth a Try
The Partagas Naturales started off pretty spicy and then mellowed, and then got spicy again and finally harsh in the last third. Until then, it was enjoyable, though slightly hot for my taste buds. For spicy Cameroons I prefer the CAO L Anniversaire Cameroon robusto for a few bucks more.
Middle of the Road
I enjoy most of the Partagas cigars, especially the Partagas 898. The Partagas Naturales isn’t as good, IMO. Decent flavor but a little flat on the finish. It burns well and creates a durable ash, but something was lacking in the taste department in the 2 I recently had. Maybe more humidor time is required.
