Padron Family Reserve No.45 Natural Description
This Padron Family Reserve No.45 Natural cigar is made in Nicaragua. Outside, you'll find a Nicaraguan Natural wrapper. Inside, the binder is Nicaraguan, and the filler is Nicaraguan. The Family Reserve No.45 Natural is a Full-Bodied Toro shaped cigar with a length of 6.00 and a ring gauge of 52.
If you don’t love this box-pressed Nicaraguan puro packed with the best leaves aged for a full 10 years, then it’s time to turn in your aficionado card. Kidding aside, this is a supreme cigar that every stogie fan should have the joy of firing up at least a few times. It wasn’t C.A.’s cigar of the year for nothing.
If you’re concerned about budget-related buyer’s remorse, then spend your $25 on a trio of top shelf natural cigars like the Fuente 858 Natural, the Avo XO and the Gurkha Gold. I’d normally go that route and enjoy 3 or 4 very good smokes. Still, there are times to be extravagant and when that time comes this cigar won’t let you down. It’s tasty and well crafted for excellent smoking characteristics.
This cigar has been praised in every corner of cigardom and it deserves it. But at $25 a pop it isn’t one for the regular rotation, at least not for most of us. It makes a special gift for a cigar lover or a once in a blue moon indulgence for me. I’ve had 3 now and they were all nearly perfect.
Smooth, creamie, uniform
This elegantly tailored cigar is a pleasure to feel, smell, see and ultimately smoke. The flavor starts out a tad chalky with tobacco being the primary flavor. The smoke thickens and mellows until rich nuts and chocolate hints come to the forefront. The second half intensifies with more spice and greater complexity. A winner in every respect.
