Padron. Apparently I misordered last time as I received long and thinner cigars. They were good but too thin. In my older days when I worked in a tobacco warehouse they would have been called Colorado Claro. Very dark! Prior to this I always received what I wanted. For future please make note. 5” +\- and thumb size.
The chocolate flavors of this one are like real, rich cocoa bean taste. They persist throughout, even as more spice and leather enters the palate. The burn, draw, ash and overall construction is always outstanding. The Padron 1964 Superior Maduro has replaced the Fuente Hemingway Maduros as my favorite but I love them both.
You’ll find yourself removing the band to smoke this thin beauty all the way to the nub. Every puff delivers cocoa, coffee and a spicy blend of black pepper and chili powder. It lacks complexity but for such a short cigar has excellent depth.
