This exquisite 7 1/4 x 50 double corona, known as My Father and Tatuaje La Union L.E., is the product of a special collaboration between two renowned cigar brands: My Father Cigars and Tatuaje Cigars.
To commemorate their 20-year partnership, both companies have crafted two unique blends within this luxurious line. The artwork on the packaging depicts Pete Johnson of Tatuaje shaking hands with Jaime García, while José "Pepín" García, Jaime's father, blesses the union.
The cigars are presented in boxes of 40, with each box containing 20 cigars blended by the Garcías and 20 by Johnson. Both blends feature premium Nicaraguan tobacco grown by the García family, including the exclusive pelo de oro leaf.
Tatuaje for My Father (Black) uses a shade-grown Nicaraguan corojo 99 wrapper, while La Union — My Father for Tatuaje (Black) uses an Ecuadorian habano wrapper.
Each cigar is the same size, a vitola the companies are calling a Prominente Especial. The cigars feature a 109-style cap, a hybrid between the round cap of a traditional parejo and the tapered point of a belicoso. One way to tell which blend you are smoking: the Tatuaje-blended versions have covered feet, while the My Father versions do not.

La Union
This was a surprising good smoke. I enjoyed the notes of spice and cedar.
