La Gloria Cubana Society Toro
Did you have a hand in making this one? Somewhere around 2,000 smokers online got to weigh in on how it should be put together, including the flavor profile, the packaging, and the size to best represent what people would enjoy.
La Gloria Cubana Society Toro cigars were built in part through the efforts of the online community of cigar lovers at The LGC Society, an online group hosted in partnership with Cigar World. There, you can see a long list of posts by LGC lovers who are cutting and lighting up this historic brand all over the world.
They know good smoke!
An LGC rep said of this cigar, “It’s been a pleasure to harness the Society’s passion for La Gloria and it’s an honor to provide them with a cigar that reflects what the brand represents to them…”
So, what’s in the La Gloria Cubana Society Toro cigar? It’s a departure from the Nicaraguan stogies that are so popular these days. Instead, you’re getting a beautiful Honduran puro. Long-fillers were grown at farms in Jamastran and La Entrada. The binder is also a Jamastran leaf. The cover leaf is a fancy Honduran Olancho San Augustin wrapper. The forum friends clearly love their rich, spicy, and flavorful tobacco!
The Honduran-grown leaf is known for its special character. It’s bold and delivers plenty of notes right from the spice cabinet like pepper, “savory” herbs, and more. It’s not for everyone, but those who know how to work with it can create something that is complex and that totally commands your attention in every draw. The fans also went with a 6.25 x 54 vitola that would provide plenty of smoking time to really relax into the experience and savor every moment.
LGC – this is YOUR blend. The rest of us thank you for your work on this one!
