La Aroma de Cuba Edicion Especial No.5 Belicoso Description
This La Aroma de Cuba Edicion Especial No.5 Belicoso cigar is made in Nicaragua. Outside, you'll find a Ecuadorian Sumatra wrapper. Inside, the binder is Nicaraguan, and the filler is Nicaraguan. This is a Torpedo cigar with a length of 5.50 and a ring gauge of 52.
The Miami Edicion Especial (a shaggy foot toro) is the king of the blends. it has shaggy foot and gets all the care of a much more expensive cigar. The sticks are packaged in elegant, traditional cabinet boxes of 20. I have a whole stack of these boxes that I use for containment of everything small I own. Plus I give them to friends. Small issue but still is a part of the mystique. This blend’s mediium body is a mix of Central American fillers that are encapsulated by a Corojo wrapper. The result is deep flavors that includes notes of wood and leather with added notes of spice giving it a phenomenal taste. The scent of the wrapper is woody...but the foot has aromas of spice. Lots of ligero making this more a full bodied than a medium bodied. There is a hint of molasses, as well....giving it a nice sweetness. Its best moments happened in the middle where the sweetness was most apparent. This cigar is for special occasions because it is a little more expensive than the rest of the line. I tend to smoke this one alone. Im selfish. With friends, I bring out the other blends and share those. And none of my friends turn down a Miami...those moochers! The shaggy foot makes me thing of Cuban cigars. Its a beautiful cigar. The construction is almost perfect. Very firm in the hand. Not a single soft spot. If I go to my favorite B & M, I still buy these sticks retail. I dont care about the price difference between Cigars Direct great prices and the slightly inflated prices at the store. I get a kick out the attitudes at the store. Some guys pooh pooh the Miami Edicion Especial...but then they listen to me oohing and ahhing, they break down and buy one. Then they are doing the same thing as me and are bitten by the Miami bug. Its still cheaper than a Garcia stick.
