El Septimo Sacred Arts Rembrandt cigars celebrate a famous Dutch artist who created a painting called The Return of the Prodigal Son. It’s a parable that we refer to often, but that many have forgotten the specifics of.

In the parable, told by Christ, a father has two sons. One is unwilling to wait for Dad to die to inherit his cash. Dad, in a surprise twist, simply gives him half of his estate. The son then trots off to spend it on harlots and partying. His brother stays home like a good boy and helps Dad get by. The family assumes they won’t hear from the prodigal son again.

As expected, the prodigal son blows through all the money. But then, after hitting rock bottom, he comes back home totally broke. Dad celebrates this with a feast and gifts, and the good son who stayed home gets pissed. He asks his dad why he never got to have a single party with his friends, but his wasteoid brother gets welcomed home with open arms. Dad says that the prodigal son was essentially dead, but now is alive again. Thus the celebration.
