El Septimo Diamond Bullet Black
El Septimo Diamond Bullet Black cigars are a “bold and to the point” smoke from a tasty collection of blends. The Diamond series is focused on aged Costa Rican tobacco, and this leaf is put to good use to get a nice potent flavor profile going in a hurry. Unlike longer format cigars which are often built to build slowly to a high point over time, the Bullet Black is meant to plunge right into the thick of things, giving you plenty of flavor in the first draws.
🎵 Let’s get down, let’s get down to business… 🎵
The packaging references 5-year tobacco, so you’re getting some nice aging in the mix. Many popular blends are content to stop at a year or two of aging. And while 10 or even 20+ years is not unheard of, 5 years is sort of the entry point for “long aging.” Much of the major changes have happened, and now we’re cultivating the subtle and complex notes that typify well developed blends.
So what do we get here, at the end of the day?
El Septimo calls the Diamond Bullet Black a “punchy” cigar with flavors of “earthy spices and roasted nuts.” Add to this a “smooth and creamy finish,” and you’ve got yourself a complete blend that is quite satisfying even though it’s small. And the manufacturer is quick to point out that, although it is short, it “maintains a slow-toast.” So there’s no particular rush in getting this one smoked. You can kick back and take this bullet down to its primer.
It’s 3 ¼ x 56, but it smokes like a much larger stogie. Can anyone out there relate?
