The Drew Estate Undercrown Sungrown Flying Pig and Feral Sampler includes 4 of the tastiest little piggies money can buy
Third, to be released was the Drew Estate Undercrown Sungrown. This Flying Pig has an unmistakable cinnamon finish that follows the core of espresso and leather. It's probably the extra Ligero leaf saying hello. The rest of the blend in the Sungrown is made of Nicaraguan long-fillers, a Connecticut Habano binder, and an Ecuadorian Sumatra wrapper. A fine combination, and real evolution of the Undercrown line for people who want something fresh each time.
That may be part of the reason that Liga Privada has spawned so many offshoot blends. When something is this captivating, blenders will get the desire to tinker with it to see what other fruit the Liga tree can bear. One of these experiments was released as the Drew Estate Unico Series Feral Pig, and you can find it here in this sampler.
The Feral Pig is a 5 3/8 x 60 perfecto that trades the Connecticut broadleaf for CT Habano Maduro. Instead of the rustic and hearty broadleaf flavors, you'll get a bit more of the classic Cuban-style notes (at least, as much as the soil of Connecticut can provide). The end result is still a Liga blend that's a full-strength cigar combining notes of espresso, chocolate, and leather. It's an interesting variation on an incredibly rich theme.
