The Arturo Fuente Conquistadores Natural brings together two qualities that have defined the Fuente family for generations: a remarkable understanding of Cameroon wrapper tobacco and an unwavering commitment to delivering exceptional cigars at approachable prices. Bold in appearance yet beautifully balanced in character, this generously proportioned Robusto offers a traditional Dominican smoking experience with the distinctive personality of African Cameroon leaf.

Handmade in the Dominican Republic, the Arturo Fuente Conquistadores Natural features a flavorful Cameroon wrapper, a carefully selected Dominican binder, and aged Dominican filler tobacco. Measuring 5.50 inches with an impressive 56-ring gauge, its substantial Robusto Grande shape provides a satisfying, unhurried smoking experience. The mild-to-medium strength profile offers an inviting combination of cedar, toasted nuts, warm baking spices, earthy tobacco, and the subtle natural sweetness associated with Cameroon leaf.

What sets this cigar apart is the interaction between its wrapper and Dominican tobacco core. Cameroon tobacco is prized for its aromatic complexity, delicate spice, and naturally sweet character. Combined with the approachable personality of aged Dominican tobaccos, it creates a balanced smoke with enough flavor to satisfy experienced enthusiasts without demanding a full-strength commitment.

The Fuente Family and Its Legendary Cameroon Tradition

Founded in Tampa in 1912 by Arturo Fuente, the family business has spent more than a century mastering the art of premium cigars. Carlos Fuente Sr. and his son Carlito Fuente carried that tradition into the Dominican Republic, where their commitment to tobacco selection, blending, and meticulous construction established Arturo Fuente as one of the industry's most respected names.

Cameroon wrappers have played a particularly important role in the Fuente portfolio. From the celebrated Arturo Fuente Hemingway series to the prestigious Don Carlos collection, the family has demonstrated an extraordinary ability to showcase the wrapper's delicate spice, aromatic richness, and natural sweetness.

That mastery reached one of its highest levels of recognition when Cigar Aficionado named the Arturo Fuente Don Carlos Eye of the Shark its 2017 No. 1 Cigar of the Year, awarding the Cameroon-wrapped masterpiece 97 points. While that distinction belongs specifically to the Eye of the Shark, it highlights the Fuente family's longstanding expertise with this remarkable tobacco.
