Warped Bits of Havana Seleccion de Capital cigars are beautiful little limited-edition smokes from the mind of company founder Kyle Gellis. Everyone has a hobby, but Mr. Gellis’s hobby is sampling special tobaccos in his spare time and making special blends that probably can’t be mainline cigars.

He pops into a factory like Miami’s Titan de Bronze and sits down with a café con leche. He comes up with smokes like the Bits of Havana series, which was first available through his DROP Cigar Club.

Warped Bits of Havana Seleccion de Capital is a super boutique blend, limited to just 500 boxes of stogies. It uses a Nicaraguan Aganorsa tobacco blend wrapped in Mexican San Andrés leaf. It’s a potent smoke – large enough in flavor and strength to really sit you down. Rolled up in a 6 x 52 toro and box-pressed for a lush draw, Seleccion de Capital cigars offer a certain kind of smoking experience that is just special. It’s not Cubanesque, exactly. Instead, the Mexican wrapper seems to be taking over the flavor profile and asserting itself, as it tends to do. The taste of the smoke brings that guaranteed black pepper hit, plus something like Mexican hot chocolate. Other notes in the mix are glove leather, barrel oak, and a whiff of dried fruit.
