Viaje Fireworks Roman Candle cigars come in red tissue paper, looking like little sticks of dynamite or fireworks, as the name indicates. Peel it back and you’ll see a short little pigtail cap fuse, in keeping with the theme. When you light it up, there’s no bang. Instead, you get gentle flavors of leather, coffee bean, and light sweetness. It’s a fairly basic blend that won’t knock you over. This is a standard cigar made with decent tobacco – no challenges here other than the time to smoke.
On that point: clear your schedule! Smoking a nine-inch Viaje Fireworks Roman Candle cigar will take around 3 hours if you don’t rush. Not everyone has that much time to smoke, but if you’re headed out at sunset for a 4th of July fireworks show, this cigar will take you from start to finish and then some.
