Always a pleasure with Padron!
I smoke too many bold-flavored cigars that turn nasty at some point. This one never does. Bold yet smooth is a winning combo for me and the Padron 1964 Torpedo Maduro delivers it. The dark, oily wrapper smells so good and smokes so fine too. Lower the price and I wouldn’t smoke anything else…maybe.
The Padron 1964 Torpedo Maduro offers totally rich and smooth flavor that you can nearly chew it’s so thick. Creamy smoke, handfuls of roasted nuts blended with spices and garden herbs, along with a creamy mocha finish places this stick high on my list of luxury cigars.
My wife drools over these sticks so I thought I should send in her comments: ‘Delicious with toast and coffee as the base, sprinkled with black pepper with leather on the finish.’ As for my take, they need to ramp up the spice to register in my top 20. She gave it a nine out of ten.
The Padron 1964 Anniversary Torpedo Maduro is an absolutely amazing cigar. First, the appearance is breathtaking with that perfectly box pressed shape and ultra smooth wrapper. The torpedo tip comes to a very sharp point and you have to take the time to truely appreciate this one before you light it up. Very smooth, medium/full bodied smoke pulls through effortlessly. Solid notes of cocoa and toasty nuts with just a hint of spice. A ton of thick smoke with a nice, even burn. A great aroma round out this masterpiece. This is a must have for any true afficionado. Highest recommendation. Get them while you can!
