The return of Johnny Tobacconaut! Room 101 has revived this space-traveling blend that initially appeared in the oh-so-innocent time 2015. Can you even remember what life was like then? It was a different world.

And a select few were puffing on this Nicaraguan blend from Room 101 called “Johnny Tobacconaut.”

The blend still focuses on Nicaraguan leaf but now features a beautifully smooth Ecuadorian Connecticut shade wrapper. This is the buttery, soft, creamy latte side of Connecticut tobacco people know and love for their morning smokes. It serves as the perfect companion for that first cup of coffee or that afternoon iced light and sweet.

Blends like this never go out of style.

Now, the Johnny Tobacconaut logo has leaves in his backpack and what looks like a giant beach sand shovel, so we’ve got no clue where he thinks he’s going. Perhaps he’s just ready to go wherever good tobacco takes him. We’re ready to follow right behind. “Mission Control, we’re on the hunt for flavorful cigars. We’ll keep you posted on what we find out there.”

Plenty is happening in the “solar system of flavors” you get when you light up a Johnny Tobacconaut. There’s Saturnine cinnamon, Jovian graham cracker, and Plutonian excellent pepper. It’s a trip to far-flung planets (as long as you have enough liquor or other party favors to accompany your cigar).

Room 101 has assembled a fascinating tobacco mix to revive this blend. It once was a limited edition, but we expect to see it around more regularly in this incarnation.

Countdown to ignition, space cadets.
