There’s also a Maduro version and something called the El Gran Papi Chulo, while this version is draped in a blonde Ecuador Connecticut wrapper. It’s a very bright wrapper – you’ll probably be able to pick it out in your humidor. Inside, there’s more complex and flavorful tobacco hiding, though. This isn’t your average Connecticut. There’s a Mexican binder and some leathery Dominican filler that helps create a very enjoyable flavor profile. The Room 101 Big Payback Connecticut cigar manages to be smooth at a mild-medium strength without being boring.

Toast up the foot on this blend and you’ll get some nice peanutty spice. This will give way to something more like a lightly sweetened cereal or graham cracker. The flavors stay fairly stable as you go along, making this a reliable smoke that you can enjoy the whole way through.
