Cigar enthusiasts love interacting with Rocky Patel, both the man and the brand, but here we’re talking about the man. The guy is known for endless energy and a passion for smoking that mirrors that of his fans. It’s pretty human to elevate those we admire. Once we meet these individuals and see they’re not much different from anyone else, our respect for them only increases.
And if they have the charisma of a dude like Rocky, we admire them all the more. People talk about Patel’s incredible marketing talents and how he uses the seemingly infinite events he attends to have face-to-face time with fans of his blends. Sure, this face time serves its marketing purpose, but we think Rocky’s passion for people and cigars intersect at these events, and he gets much more out of them than promoting his cigars.
When demand for Rocky Patel cigars increased abroad, the decision was made to make a unique brand reserved for the international market. This was back in 2018, and the sticks were the Rocky Patel Grand Reserve cigars. In 2020 these smokes became available in the U.S., and you can pick some up right here and now.
Rocky Patel Grand Reserve cigars differ from the brand's other lines in that all they disclose about the blend is it's rolled at Rocky's Tabacalera Villa Cuba S.A. factory in Nicaragua. No word of Honduran and Nicaraguan long-fillers and binder mingling with various wrappers. Nothing, though some say the blend aged for at least two years. What we do know is Rocky Patel Grand Reserve cigars are medium-bodied and full of roasted nuts, vanilla custard, coffee, and cinnamon flavors.
It is also particularly human to want what we can’t have, and a number of years ago, unless you were somewhere in the international market where they sold the Grand Reserve, you couldn’t have these premiums. The good news is now you can, and trust us—it was well worth the wait.
Please enjoy Rocky Patel Grand Reserve cigars at your leisure.
