When you’re as prolific as Rocky Patel, you’re bound to run into celebrities as you galivant around the world from one high-profile event to another. Or, they may just walk into one of your BURN cigar lounges in cities across the country. And often enough, these celebrities will be cigar-loving athletes.
Rocky Patel All-Stars cigars are the product of some of these meetings.
Stars like baseball’s Gary Sheffield or football’s Ray Lewis have launched their own cigar lines with the help of Rocky Patel, and we don’t expect RP will be stopping there. There’s a good chance we’ll be seeing more champions join the lineup in the future. Heck, the company hasn’t even signed up a hockey or basketball player yet to complete the American sports quad-fecta.
Rakesh (Rocky’s real name) is no stranger to connections with dynamic people. In fact, it’s what brought him into the industry. Once upon a time, he wasn’t even in the tobacco business. He was a lawyer to the stars, with A-list clients like Arnold Schwarzenegger. He would occasionally head to the Grand Havana Room in Los Angeles to enjoy some fine cigars, and it was there that he met the partner who would found Indian Tabac with him.
Now, years later, Rocky’s first cautious step into the cigar world led to the creation of a self-named empire of the leaf. There are countless lines – really more than any person can keep track of – and Rocky Patel All-Stars cigars are a great addition to this robust portfolio that includes plenty of Cigar Aficionado Top 25 cigars.
There’s no telling what sports or athletes will turn up to launch upcoming lines in the All-Stars group. All that we know is that fans will be getting something tasty to smoke and a box that will also serve as a quality piece of memorabilia for the basement sports lounge. If we were Ravens fans, we’d definitely love to toast up Ray Lewis’s rich Honduran and Nicaraguan “Legends 52” blend at halftime. And when the bats are hot in the summertime, that dark Ecuadorian Habano-wrapped HR500 by Gary Sheffield would be a fun throwback to smoke. The classic Marlins homerun shot inside the box lid would look perfect on a shelf, too.
This is where sports and cigars meet. The beverages are up to you.
