Perdomo Reserve 10th Anniversary Champagne
As Nick Perdomo explains, the Perdomo Reserve Connecticut blend was something new once upon a time. The tastemakers in the industry didn’t really favor putting Connecticut leaf over Nicaraguan tobacco, which would overshadow the mild CT profile. We can’t argue with the ultimate product, though – a Perdomo Reserve Connecticut cigar with a balance of spicy, oaky flavor and creamy honey notes. It’s delicious, and too many people agree for us to try to pick it apart. This is a certified tasty smoke.
Perdomo Reserve 10th Anniversary Champagne cigars all feature aged tobaccos at their core. The Cuban-seed Nicaraguan tobaccos come from a variety of farms across the country, including Jalapa, Condega, and Estelí. With all the acreage that Perdomo has, there’s never a shortage of high-quality leaf to choose from for making core blends. After harvesting and curing, the tobacco is aged for about six years and then is finished in bourbon barrels to produce an unforgettable extra layer of flavor and complexity. The cigar doesn’t wind up booze-flavored but is rather infused with a bit more subtle smoky, woody character than it would otherwise have.
It’s really the wrapper that shines, here. When the blend was finally dialed in, Nick Perdomo’s father (Nick Sr.) remarked that it was the “champagne of wrappers.” The name stuck and became the way to tell a Perdomo Connecticut-wrapped Nicaraguan blend apart from others.
The funny thing is, this blend was built to suit a number of tastes all at once, which is another industry no-no. Usually, you need to blend for one type of smoker at a time. If you try to please everyone, you often wind up pleasing no one. But every now and then, you hit it out of the park and create the Perdomo Reserve 10th Anniversary Champagne cigar – a cigar that is rich in flavor, but still smooth on the palate with a subtle sweetness. A Perdomo tasting panel with over 250 years of combined premium tobacco experience put its stamp on this one, and the world has been puffing on it ever since.
The Perdomo Reserve 10th Anniversary Connecticut cigar mild-medium in strength, refined, and smooth – a cigar for all seasons that never goes out of style. If its 10th Anniversary is this good, we can only imagine how nice the blends to come in this line will be.

Reserve 10th Anniversary Champagne FAQ's
What are the flavors like?
Cream, honey, spice, oak.
What’s the strength level?
Who is this cigar for?
The Perdomo Reserve Champagne cigar, here celebrating its 10th Anniversary, is for anyone who wants a mild, but still flavorful, cigar that still retains all its smoothness.
Will I want to smoke it to the nub?
The smoking experience is top shelf. You’ll nub it.
What’s a good pairing with it?
Perdomo’s standard recommendation is scotch and bourbon. We would stick to the less aggressive offerings there, maybe sticking to easy sippers. We think you can expand the pairing list to include lots of beers (e.g. blonde ales) and coffee beverages as well. The Reserve Champagne can pair up with a lot of different drinks.
What’s the best time/place to smoke this cigar?
When you want easygoing flavor that won’t bore you.
Over hundreds of reviews, you won’t really find an unkind word. There should be a cigar industry award for THAT. It’s probably more impressive than simply wowing a few judges with great palates.
