Best pyramid I’ve smoked since the Ashton Cabinet Pyramid. I love the way this vitola delivers the tasty flavor of the 1926 Padron. The spicy flavor is big but very smooth, a feat hard to accomplish. Kudos to the blend maestro.
The great maduro wrapper rivals the legendary Oliva Serie O maduro and the taste is fantastic. It features an opening salvo of pepper that recedes to let nutty and slightly woody flavors enter the picture. The pepper picks up again later along with a unique Padronesque sweetness.
The Padron 1926 Anniversary No.9 Maduro is a delicious cigar with medium body. It masquerades as a full-bodied stick because by the time you finish this large vitola you’ve taken in quite a bit of nicotine. It’s not as strong as a Oliva Serie V or a Man O’ War. Very tasty with a mix of nutty, sweet and spicy flavors.
This dark plumper is a feast for the eyes and the tastebuds, and the aroma is much appreciated too. Medium to full flavor features earthy cocoa and some leather that becomes more spicy in the second half. The burn got a little pesky but was correctable.
