La Flor Dominicana 1994
The La Flor Dominicana 1994 cigar mixes up the popular combo of Nicaraguan filler blends beneath Mexican San Andres wrappers by swapping out the Nicaraguan for Dominican. These Dominican fillers come from Litto’s La Canela farm. Compared to other growing regions in the Dominican Republic, La Canela tobacco is more robust. This is a result of the dry heat of the area.
The dark Mexican San Andres wrappers on these sticks shimmer with oil. At the same time, they have a rustic charm that is brought out further by the uniquely shaped La Flor Dominicana cigar band’s old-school vibe. Once burning, expect notes of nuts, citrus, black pepper, and sweetness. This is a medium-full strength stogie that remains smooth all the way through.
La Flor Dominicana 1994 cigars received a 92 rating from Cigar Aficionado. The publication also named the cigar to their list of the Top 25 Cigars of 2020.
