The JFR Lunatic Loco is the perfect stick to turn Cinco de Mayo into “Loco de Mayo,” Cigars Direct style! As Aganorsa Leaf said, “You need to be a little crazy to smoke these cigars.”
The first thing that makes the JFR Lunatic Loco crazy is the ring gauges. Here’s the breakdown of these perfecto cigars:
El Gran Loco: 5.5 x 80 El Loco 4.7 x 70 El Loquito 4.7 x 60
Once you’re gone off tequila, that 80 gauge Gran Loco won’t seem like a problem at all. But plan ahead – this thing will absolutely kick your ass.
Its sibling blend, the JFR Lunatic Habano, was refined enough to become Cigar Aficionado’s 93-rated #7 cigar of 2018. The Lunatic Loco is on a whole other level. This one is a fiesta wrapped in tobacco. We don’t know how they’ll be reacting to it in the CA offices, but this is no refined cigar – we doubt it would make it past security in their NY headquarters.
The JFR Lunatic Loco cigar has crazy in the name twice! Full strength here means full strength, for real. You’ve been warned.
The inside blend is pure Nicaragua – high-quality stuff from Aganorsa’s lush fields. The wrapper is something a bit different: a shade-grown Jalapa Corojo wrapper. It might actually be the same crop as that used on the Aganorsa-powered Signature Selection Maduro and Guardian of the Farm Nightwatch, but we’re not 100% on that.
The look of the JFR Lunatic Loco cigar is cuckoo for Cocoa Puffs: the top is super-toothy mottled hickory and the bottom is a toasted tortilla. The taste is off the charts, too. Black pepper, S&M leather, and dark chocolate sweetness all mingle while you puff your way through the party.
When your Loco de Mayo drinks are putting you into a chair for the next hour or two, reach for the JFR Lunatic Loco cigar and light up.
