Imagine how you feel when someone pockets your lighter, even by accident. You need to spark one up, but you can’t find the dang thing. You pat your pockets, retrace your steps, and check all the usual spots. Nothing, though you have the faintest memory of a friend asking to borrow it a few nights prior.
Now imagine you’re the Greek god Zeus and just discovered that another god, Prometheus, stole fire from you and gave it to humankind. Was this the first instance of a stolen lighter? Not really, but the God of Fire line and God of Fire 10th Anniversary cigars are themed on this mythology.
Arturo Fuente creates some of the finest premium cigars available today. The cigar accessory company, Prometheus, oddly enough named after the fire-thieving god, partnered with Arturo Fuente in 2004 to develop the God of Fire line. Arturo Fuente would produce the premium handmade cigars in the Dominican Republic, and Prometheus would design and build the gorgeously detailed red and black cigar boxes bearing a rendition of the Prometheus Bound painting.
God of Fire 10th Anniversary cigars mark a decade of the God of Fire line. Like all God of Fire sticks, the 10th Anniversary wears two bands. The upper band displays Prometheus strapped to a gigantic boulder while an eagle attacks him as punishment for stealing the fire and giving it to mortals. Zeus ordered this punishment for Prometheus to last all of eternity. The second band indicates the production year and blend.
The ultra-premium God of Fire 10th Anniversary cigars are dressed in a rich, oily Ecuador wrapper that covers tobaccos that aged for years before and after the rolling of the stick. Dominican filler tobaccos and binder comprise the blend. As you would expect, the construction here is flawless. This medium-bodied cigar delivers flavor notes of nuts, cream, spice, and cinnamon.
According to the God of Fire website, these cigars are the smoothest of the line and perfect to light up morning, afternoon, or night.
Please enjoy God of Fire 10th Anniversary cigars at your leisure.
