What do guys do on a street corner in Brooklyn? They “chop it up!” That is, they shoot the breeze, as people used to say.
Drew Estate cutters do the same thing, in their own way. They’re a product of NYC roots too.
In our selection of Drew Estate cutters, you can find a number of accessories to celebrate a company that never shies away from style. Embracing outlandish and brash designs is a way of life for the DE team, and they often bring that spirit to their cigar accessories, too. You may find their products to be unlike other traditional cutters on the market, if only when it comes to graphics.
The company cutter style comes from a mixture of two potent sources of inspiration.
The first is Jonathan Drew’s New York roots. Once upon a time, his cigar company was limited to a kiosk in the old World Trade Center. As he grew into creating his own blends, he stayed true to who he was. And when he made the borderline insane leap (for a gringo) to launching a business from Estelí, Nicaragua, he never forgot who he was – a New Yorker with huge cojones and no fear of speaking his mind.
The second is Subculture Studios, Drew Estate’s art collective tasked with producing brand imagery and all manner of objects from cigar store displays, to accessories, to murals, and more. The studio was founded by Jessi Flores, a talented Nicaraguan street artist who linked up with Drew early in the company’s history and helped Drew Estate carve out a name for itself as a whole new kind of cigar brand. When many focused on traditions rooted in Old Havana, Drew Estate still paid its respects to those who paved the way but mixed in a swirl of street style from the dusty roads of Nicaragua and the concrete flats of NYC.
Guillotine cutters, V cutters, keychain cutters, bottle opener cutters – these are products for those who love the Drew Estate take on how cigars and accessories should look.
