The upper band on Diesel Delirium cigars has the word “DELIRIUM” in an 1800s-esque font. The same font is on the lower band reading “2020 LIMITED EDITION.” The font reminds us of those used by doctors and traveling medicine salesman of the Old West. The cool cigar box drives this home once you open it from left to right like a book and see the chalkboard like inside cover with words like agitation, deliriousness, frenzy, disturbance, and a whole lot of other words a diagnosing psychiatrist would jot down on their pad.
Beneath all that is what seems to be a diagnosis of sorts which reads, “A fluctuating clinical state characterized by disturbances of attention, cognition, arousal, mood, and self-awareness.” While we don’t consider cigar boxes to be psychiatrists, creative ones like these serve as their own sort of therapy.
The stogie starts with an exotic Ecuador Sumatra wrapper covering a Connecticut broadleaf binder. The filler blend is 100% Nicaraguan with a hefty dose of flavorful Ligero to spice things up. Once lit, you’re in for a complex smoke that coats your palate with flavors of spice, oak, nougat, and nuts.
Please enjoy Diesel Delirium cigars at your leisure.
