There’s a good chance that a boy raised around tobacco cultivation and cigar makers will go on to do big things in the cigar industry. Toss in a grandfather who grew tobacco in Cuba and a father who would become an industry leader, and those chances increase exponentially. Christian Eiroa, founder of CLE Cigar Co. and creator of CLE Corojo cigars didn’t have to follow in the footsteps of his father and grandfather. Often sons will walk a different path to differentiate themselves.
Lucky for us, Christian took the cigar road, and we are all the better for it. He would go on to be the longtime president of Camacho, creating many of the most popular blends in its portfolio while establishing himself as a highly respected master blender. When Davidoff purchased Camacho in 2008, Christian stayed on for years to ensure the smoothest transition possible. In 2012, he ventured out on his own with the founding of CLE Cigar Co.
CLE Corojo cigars contain the characteristics you’ve come to expect from one of his blends— zesty flavors and boldness. The binder and long-fillers are Honduran, and a spicy Corojo leaf sits on top. Among the flavors present are pepper, earth, oak, and espresso. CLE Corojo cigars have a long and smooth sweet vanilla finish, a straight burn line, and an easy draw. Not too shabby.
