Produced at Fabrica Centroamericana de Tabaco S.A. in Danlí, Honduras, the Cavalier Genève BII-Viso Jalapa cigar is an out of this world Nicaraguan puro. This is the first stick in the brand’s portfolio to use a Viso Jalapa wrapper. According to Cavalier Genève founder Sébastien Decoppet, “We believe that the line is a different and exciting take on the Viso Jalapa leaf.” It’s important to note that Nicaragua’s Jalapa Valley, with its red clayish soil, is widely known as one of the best growing areas on the planet and that much of the leaf that grows there ends up being wrappers.

Viso is the name for leaves grown on the middle stalk of tobacco plants, coming in just below Ligero. While Viso provides more flavor than the Seco leaves below, it is not as intense as Ligero. Usually used in the filler blend, using Viso as a wrapper helps sets the Cavalier Genève BII-Viso Jalapa cigar apart. Light one up, and Cavalier Genève states that you’re in for a “new school Maduro experience.” Expect notes of sweet spices, graham crackers, fresh leather, and black pepper.
