Caldwell Lost and Found 22 Minutes to Midnight
Originally, the effort was to find cigars that were lost and aging in storage at various cigar companies. It didn’t matter why; all that mattered was that the cigars had missed their moment and were not really headed for any particular destiny. If they passed the smoke test, they’d get branded and shared with the world. This is the method that brought us so many of the line’s hits.
But now, Caldwell's Lost and Found 22 Minutes to Midnight cigars is a more intentional approach. Caldwell and business partner Tony Bellato are crafting blends for these blends, sending them into aging, and taking them out when the time is right. This has led to four different blends to kick things off:
• Connecticut Radiante
• Habano de Oro
• 11:38 Habano
The Connecticut Radiante is a complex and flavorful blend that is creamy and nutty but also offers more powerful notes like smoked hickory and spice. It’s a medium-strength smoke that pushes what you might expect from a Connecticut to the next level.
The Habano de Oro is a spicier and more full-bodied version of a similar blend. As you can see in the video above featuring Mr. Robert Caldwell himself, the CT is something he’s enjoying in the AM, and the Habano de Oro is what he switches to as the day goes on.
For those who prefer an earthier profile with that coffee and chocolate sweetness, there’s also the Maduro, which offers a fermented leaf that brings the blend to a very sultry and enjoyable place.
It’s a very tasty series from the palates of Caldwell and Bellato – one we’re really excited to offer. When you get a great idea and find what you’re looking for, and you send a message to your boy at 11:38, these delicious mofos are what you get.
