Cain F Habano
Sam Leccia, the creator of the Cain brand and Cain F Habano cigars, stated that he wanted a cigar made from straight Ligero to satisfy the maturing palates of smokers with a cigar more full in body. Cain F Habano cigars are Nicaraguan puros powered by a supercharged blend of Nicaraguan ligero tobaccos from Estelí, Condega, and Jalapa. Oliva built these sticks to push the strength envelope while remaining balanced. For this reason, the “F” in cigar’s name stands for “Forced Refined.” The wrapper on Cain F Habano cigars is habano. It’s dark brown with a reddish hue and a good deal of oil. The veins are thin and nearly unnoticeable.
The pre-light aroma is wood and pepper. On the cold draw, we’re getting leather, cedar, spice, and coffee. Once lit, we’re zinged with pepper. Along with the pepper, we’re tasting cedar, coffee, cocoa, and spice. So far, the draw is excellent, and the burn line is sharp. During the final third, many of the flavors remain the same. The cedar, spice, and pepper are out front now and run the show all the way to the end.
The F Habano is definitely where the strong meets the smooth.
