Black Label Trading Co Salvation
James is a dude who has always gone against the grain and lived life on the edge. For many years, he and his wife Angela owned and operated an adventure tour business specializing in off-roading with multiple yearly trips to Nicaragua, a country with an exceptional climate for tobacco growing and nutrient-rich soil that delivers the sweetness and spice signature to Nicaraguan cigars. Today, Black Label Trading Company calls Nicaragua home, using Nicaraguan tobaccos as well as those of Honduras, Mexico, Ecuador, and even the United States.
While top cigar brands have utilized these tobaccos for many years, blenders from newer generations, including James Brown, are combining the lessons of the past with a look toward the future to produce something both traditional and unique.
One thing certainly against the traditional cigar grain is James Brown's edgy artwork. The Salvation's black band displays tattooed hands folded in prayer, draped in a rosary. As with all of their sticks, the graphic is gothic-themed and so rock and roll that some traditionalists may be turned off. But the old adage to "never judge a book by its cover" apparently applies to cigars because these boutique stogies are too premium to write off so quickly.
At the core of the Black Label Trading Company Salvation is a high-quality Nicaraguan filler blend held snug by a Honduran binder. An Ecuadorian sun-grown Habano leaf ties everything together, and it’s time to begin this medium-bodied tobacco prayer. The result is a balanced experience of wood, chocolate, spice, and sweetness. Like several of Black Label’s offerings, the Salivation is slow-burning, so you can savor every second and look like a real badass the whole way through.
Please enjoy Black Label Trading Company Salvation cigars at your leisure.
