    A Louisville Slugger

The flavor is mild to medium with notes of oak and espresso. This cigar has superb construction. The stick has an exquisite Connecticut wrapper. Right off the bat, there is a smooth, creamy flavor. Flavors include an earthiness, leather, nutmeg, pepper, cocoa, light coffee, and a subtle hint of vanilla in various order as the stick burns down. The cigar has a nice slow burn and it yielded a flawless ash. The burn remained perfect throughout the smoke. The Ashton Cabinet series is the gold standard for mild to medium-bodied cigars wrapped in a Connecticut leaf. I noticed something odd. The #8 is 7 x 49. The #2 is 7 x 46. Thats 3/64. Thats an eye lash. I wonder what the thinking behind that is? And how the flavor profile is different? I get the #8 because its $14 cheaper than the #2. I tried the #2 and the change of possible flavor is too subtle for my palate. $14 can go towards a 5 pack or sampler.
