We live in a society where highly-priced items are automatically believed to be of high quality. While often these items are of high quality, there are countless high-quality items that go ignored due to a lower price point. This is undoubtedly true with the cigar game and the reasonably priced 5 Vegas brand and their 5 Vegas Series A cigars.
The first thing that catches the eye with 5 Vegas Series A cigars is the dark, toothy Costa Rican Maduro wrapper presented in a cedar sleeve which immediately differentiates this one from the other 5 Vegas cigars. Inside is a savory tri-country blend comprised of four year aged tobaccos. After the cigar is complete, it lies in wait for six months until it sets upon its path to your humidor.
Once lit, 5 Vegas Series A cigars hit us with a good deal of sweetness and a bit of spice. There were underlying notes of cocoa and something like coffee peeking in and out, but currently, they are all steady.
About halfway through now, and the spice is increasing along with the cocoa. The coffee is still quite present.
As this delicious maduro wraps up, it is balanced and brimming with flavor. The draw was clear. The burn was sharp. And the ash was solid white and held much longer than expected. The journey is one where the cigar doesn’t smack you right off the bat with all it has to offer. Rather, this medium-full strength trip added a little bit after a little bit and so on but never too much to overwhelm the smoker. Absolutely fantastic.
Please enjoy 5 Vegas Series A cigars at your leisure.
