Jaime Garcia is the master blender of My Father cigars, one of the highest-rated brands in the industry. He is the son of the well-respected Jose “Pepin” Garcia who was one of the most highly respected cigar makers in Cuba. Pepin Garcia worked on the development and quality of such Cuban brands as Partagas, Cohiba, and Montecristo.
In 2001, Garcia left Cuba with his family which includes son Jaime and daughter Janny. After making cigars in Little Havana, Miami for several years, the family opened one of the largest cigar factories in Nicaragua. While brand headquarters remain in Miami, the My Father cigar factory in Nicaragua is where millions of great cigars are made for the Garcia family, for Pete Johnson’s brand and many other brands.
Jaime Garcia has learned at his father’s side for more than a decade and has become a blender of renown in his own right.
The Jaime Garcia Reserva Especial cigars have been in production for nearly five years, and the process has been nearly perfected.
Jaime Garcia Reserva Especial Blend and Flavor
This cigar starts with a hearty blend of filler cultivated in Nicaragua in several regions known for producing premium tobacco. The Nicaragua binder is covered by an oily US-grown Connecticut Broadleaf wrapper that is fermented to a dark, delicious hue.
Reserva Especial is a solid medium in body, growing toward full as you progress into the second third of the cigar. The core of this stogie is hearty leather. Flavors that come to the fore include black pepper, cayenne pepper, coffee with a dash of sugar and red wine.
