Nat Sherman Timeless Panamericana Robustico
This Nat Sherman Timeless Panamericana Robustico cigar is made in Nicaragua. Outside, you'll find an Ecuadorian Sumatra wrapper. Inside, the binder is Nicaraguan, and the filler is Costa Rican and Nicaraguan. This is a Robusto cigar with a length of 4.00 and a ring gauge of 54.
Nat Sherman Timeless Panamericana cigars are a full-bodied, flavorful blend enjoyed for at least a decade. People turn to this profile repeatedly for a super tasty treat that has been confirmed each year to be among the top options on the market. Even in 2022, it’s still getting high marks from the judges at Cigar Aficionado, who gave this one 91 points. They described the flavor by saying that “Spicy accents of cinnamon, nutmeg, and pepper enliven the core of coffee bean and oak before a leathery finish.”
You may find these under a new name as time goes by. The Ferio Tego company is now handling what used to be Nat Sherman’s portfolio of premium cigars. Altria acquired Nat, but it seems they had no interest in this part of the business, focusing mainly on Nat cigarettes. This left several popular blends in the wind until former Nat employees Michael Herklots and Brendon Scott decided to pick up the fumble and run with it. Their company, Ferio Tego, now makes the same blends but can no longer use the Nat Sherman name.
This means that whichever blends they continue producing, at least at the outset, will still be made by the same factories using the same tobacco. If you were a fan of Timeless Panamericana cigars in years gone by, you should still get the same experience you remember going forward, just with a bit of a new label. In this case, it’s a Plasencia product that folks have been smoking, combining an Ecuador Sumatra wrapper, Nicaraguan binder, and then Nicaraguan and Costa Rican long-fillers.
It’s always been this way, and now that the line is being revived, it can continue just as before.
