The wrapper was a different story.
The Maduro version of this rare Perdomo blend was fermented to a deep chestnut brown color and then spent months aging in bourbon barrels. This allowed it to infuse with extra flavor, becoming more woody and smoky than the plain leaf. It’s not like the cognac-laden HMR cigars from Gurkha, which knock you over with a booze aroma as soon as you open the tube.
