Padron Damaso No.15 Toro Description

This Padron Damaso No.15 Toro cigar is made in Nicaragua. Outside, you'll find a Connecticut Shade wrapper. Inside, the binder is Nicaraguan, and the filler is Nicaraguan. The Padron Damaso No.15 is a Mild-Medium bodied light flavored Toro shaped cigar with a length of 6.00 and a ring gauge of 52.

It €šÃ„ôs nice to take a break from the challenging, intense flavors of the other Padr ˆš ‰¥n offerings to enjoy a simple, light smoke with pleasant flavors.

Unlike the traditional blends favored by the company, the Padr ˆš ‰¥n Damaso uses a mild Connecticut wrapper to keep things light. Fire it up and pull and you €šÃ„ôll be treated to creamy sweetness, a touch of spice, and even some fragrant wood notes. The smoke itself has a medium body, and the draws are a bit looser than you €šÃ„ôll find in other Padr ˆš ‰¥ns. That €šÃ„ôs because the Padr ˆš ‰¥n Damaso features a rounded Parejo head instead of the usual tapered Figurado tip. The result is a humble, honest smoke that knows what it is - just like its namesake, Damaso himself.

Damaso was the first Padr ˆš ‰¥n in Cuba. He immigrated there in the late 1800s from the Canary Islands (one island to another!) Like most new arrivals, he began making a living as a farmer, eventually renting some land for cultivating tobacco. The family reports that he was an honest, decent, hard-working man who taught his children and grandchildren the value of humility. From generation to generation, the family has carried on the traditions of tobacco farming, cigar making, and Damaso €šÃ„ôs lessons about life.

With two Cigar Aficionado Cigar of the Year winners and an ever-growing pile of highly-ranked cigars, we have to imagine that Damaso would be extraordinarily proud of his legacy. It €šÃ„ôs a warm thought that €šÃ„ôs the perfect pairing with a fine and simple Padron Damaso No.15 Toro cigar.
