The Padron 1926 40th Anniversary Maduro has excellent complexity and rich flavor. It progresses from sweet and medium to bold and full, reaching its peak about the band. It won’t get bitter at all if you nub it.
This cigar is the standard by which all other cigars are evaluated. It is a superb smoke every time. The Anniversary No.1 Maduro is big, delicious and if any cigar is worth this kind of money, this would be the one. Bold and spicy yet faultlessly smooth and always satisfying.
To say you’ll taste a complex mix of spice, leather, cocoa, nuts and coffee in the Padron 1926 Anniversary No.1 Maduro doesn’t really even do the flavor justice. Indescribably unique and tasty is closer to it! It also has all the accoutrements of perfect construction, burn and effortless draw.
The foot on this cigar was a tad loose but that’s the only negative I can cite. The draw was effortless and the razor sharp burn produced voluminous smoke. The flavor was as good as it gets – rich, complex and totally satisfying. Full flavor is accompanied by full body that will rock your world in a wonderful way.
I found the Padron 1926 Anniversary No.1 Maduro to be an above average cigar but that’s about it. It is constructed very well and the taste is full, if not real complex. I enjoy leather highlights mixed with moderate spice and some cocoa but I get that in the Oliva Serie G maduro or the Onyx Reserve maddy.
