You see a cigar like the Gurkha Assassin and have to wonder what the company is up to. What exactly are they attacking and going after? Who is the target of this assassin? Well, we find that it slays at least one thing: your taste buds. This thing offers a ton of flavor from its extra-fermented Brazilian Mata Fina wrapper, Cuban-seed Dominican binder, and Peruvian and Nicaraguan long-filler blend. The smoke comes out with full body and a wealth of earthy flavors, including espresso bean and black tobacco. You’ll also get a hearty spice note and a long toasty, almost chewy finish.
It’s a thick and oily cigar that means business and that delivers the goods.
We don’t know much else about this from a historical context, for those who are interested. Gurkha warriors are famed for their ferocity on the battlefield. The Nepalese natives are generally recorded – by enemy and ally alike – as relentless fighters who don’t quit and who also bring terrifying skill to warfare. We don’t, however, find a ton of information about whether they also had a reputation for use as assassins. We do, however, know that the Gurkha Assassin cigar has taken out a few of the other cigars in our humidor and climbed the ranks of sticks we enjoy smoking.
Take care, other cigars. The Gurkha Assassin stalks the shelves of your humidor and will slit the throat of any weaker blends it comes across.
