Drew Estate Liga Privada No.9 Flying Pig and Feral Pig Sampler Description
The Drew Estate Liga Privada No. 9 Flying Pig and Feral Pig Sampler gives you 4 little flying piggies and 1 feral piggy. Don’t let the cute name fool you, these are chubby cigars that pack a ton of flavor into a somewhat small 4 x 60 format.
Let’s start with the Liga Privada No. 9 Flying Pigs. These are the same blend that absolutely launched Drew Estate into a whole new era of premium smoke making. While the brand had made solid progress thanks to a number of early blends, the Liga Privada No. 9 displayed the company’s potential as top-level blenders who could earn a spot not just in the humidors of everyday dudes, but also demanding aficionados.
The Drew Estate Liga Privada No. 9 Flying Pig and Feral Pig Sampler pays homage to the blend that blazed the trail for the Undercrown, T52, and the Unicos (one of which is also a part of this sampler). Inside, the long-filler blend is a delectable combo of Nicaraguan and Honduran tobacco. Then comes the intriguing Brazilian Mata Fina binder, followed by the funk bomb of the Connecticut broadleaf wrapper, fermented all the way to Oscuro for undeniable earthiness and a touch of sweetness.
The flavors have been praised as one reviewer after the other has called out tasty notes. Most agree that the Liga Privada No. 9 is a hearty, full strength, and full body cigar. The flavors of chocolate, roasted meat, and famously, Louisiana perique pipe tobacco (exotic and aromatic) are all there, making the Drew Estate Liga Privada No. 9 an incredibly memorable cigar and a cult favorite that just won’t quit.
We can never get enough of this one.
That may be part of the reason that Liga Privada has spawned so many offshoot blends. When something is this captivating, blenders will get the desire to tinker with it to see what other fruit the Liga tree can bear. One of these experiments was released as the Drew Estate Unico Series Feral Pig, and you can find it here in this sampler.
The Feral Pig is a 5 3/8 x 60 perfecto that trades the Connecticut broadleaf for CT Habano Maduro. Instead of the rustic and hearty broadleaf flavors, you’ll get a bit more of the classic Cuban-style notes (at least, as much as the soil of Connecticut can provide). The end result is still a Liga blend – a full-strength cigar combining notes of espresso, chocolate, and leather. It’s an interesting variation on an incredibly rich theme.
Please enjoy the Drew Estate Liga Privada No. 9 Flying Pig and Feral Pig Sampler at your leisure.

1st off hats off to Cigars Direct for awesome customer experience, great discount codes when available and prices! They have fantastic very responsive customer support as well. The fly pigs are legit. I was not a fan of the size, or so I thought. I collect the Liga Privada line and try to get as many rare ones I can. I like to try them all too. If you know Liga Privada you know that these will be an amazing sticks. So I had to try them all out. They did not disappoint! These pigs blow clouds and are slightly over an hour to smoke. I liked them so much, I bought an entire box of the Feral Pigs. If the shape is what's throwing you off like it did me, just go for it and try something new. They smoke superbly.
Solid smoke suable notes of leather and chocolate, mild spice. Only small issue is the construction falls down in the last 3rd. Overall, enjoyed this smoke and will keep on hand in humidor.
