Padron Thousand Series 2000 Maduro Description
This Padron Thousand Series 2000 Maduro cigar is made in Nicaragua. Outside, you'll find a Nicaraguan Maduro wrapper. Inside, the binder is Nicaraguan, and the filler is Nicaraguan. The Padron 2000 Maduro is a Medium-Full bodied Robusto shaped cigar with a length of 5.00 and a ring gauge of 50.
Good burn and nice draw on the Padron 2000 Maduro. The wrapper is not the best-looking maduro I’ve ever seen and doesn’t come close to the Oliva Series O or the Gurkha G3. What it loses in looks it more than regains in terms of taste. It’s incredibly smooth yet spicy and warm. I nub every one of these I light.
Nice construction on these, good draw, great burn line, and good retention on the ash. The flavor is medium to full with spices, woody notes, leather and a few sweet morsels of dark chocolate. I always enjoy them and at this price, enjoy them by the box.
This $4 Padron will top most of the $7-$10 cigars I smoke with choice maduro wrappers including big names like CAO America and the Carlos Torano Casa Torano maduro. This is an everyday smoke I reach for often in my rotation. You cannot beat it at twice the price.
Good but not great, a typical cheap cigar even if the label does say Padron. No better, IMO, than a Sol Cubano or Rocky Patel Retro, and not as good as a cheap like the Sancho Panza Double Maduro. By taste alone, the Padron 2000 Maduro stogies are right in the middle of a crowded field.
I use this as one of my everyday cigars and I only smoke good Premium cigars...
